Direction Signs of the Rustic Wedding

For this beautiful wedding it was very important for the bride to be married at her “happy place”.
This was Cream Hill Lake in West Cornwall, Connecticut where she spent her summers as a child.

I was very lucky to have Events by Amy do the wonderful flowers for the event

The ceremony was held up the road at the bride’s grandmother’s house which had a
picturesque view that could take your breath away.

The bride walked down the aisle lined with sunflowers.

And they were married under a Birchwood Chuppah decorated with sunflowers and other flowers of
the season.

After the ceremony the guests were bussed to the reception.
There they picked up their chalkboard place cards which were held in little wood stump holders.

Instead of the traditional sign in book the guests left their thumbprint in ink on a beautiful
drawing of a tree.  This will be a fantastic keepsake for the bride and groom to hang in their home.

Cocktail hour was on the dock where the guests enjoyed yummy tastings by Max Catering.

Later the guests moved to the tents for dinner which were lined with farm tables, burlap table
runners and small milk jugs filled with sunflowers.

Chalkboard signs were set up around the site. Guests could play lawn games like ring toss

Or giant Jenga.

The guests left envelopes in a hand made gift box made out of an old wood farm crate with a
chalkboard sign.

After dinner everyone was invited to the boathouse for dancing.

And there was a cupcake station with so many choices it was hard to decide.

As the guests left they were given a packet of seeds.

A wonderful night and perfect location for a wedding.
