From start to finish this was the perfect wedding. The beautiful bride, the handsome groom, the supportive and warm families, the great venue, the coordinated vendors, everything went according to plan. I’m so grateful to have been welcomed into this wonderful couple’s world and to have played a small part in sending them off to married life in the way they deserved. Miranda and Jesse this one’s for you! Let’s take you through the amazing day starting with the preps.
The Badgley Mischka shoes were definitely on point! I want these!
And that gorgeous Maggie Sottero dress was just so perfect! Add to the fact that the bride’s mother bought her dress at the same shop, Mariella Creations, some 30 years earlier, made it that much more special.
The men prepped at the groom’s house, while the ladies got ready at the hotel, both with sustenance provided by the Harvest Cafe.
We spent the day getting Farmington Gardens polished and prepped to host Miranda & Jesse and dozens of their family and friends for the ceremony and the wonderful party that was to follow.
Flowers, prepared expertly by Melissa Bernard of The Honey Bee Florist, were everywhere, including this spectacular display in the lobby.
Looks like everything is ready to go!
But first, a few formalities. The Best Man made sure the groom was all boutonniered-up.
There was the touching private exchange of vows.
And now we were ready to go. Cue the music, let’s do this thing!
We did it!
There were some post-ceremony duties as well, namely posing for many, many pictures.
There was even a candid moment or two away from the formalities for this wonderful couple.
While the bridal party took care of their business, guests enjoyed some appetizers and drinks, lawn games and even an amazing cigar bar from the CT Cigar Company.
Guests were invited inside the ballroom for dinner and a wild night of dancing!
A beautifully decorated ring hung above the sweetheart table during the reception.
Each place setting featured a dressed up spice bottle, containing a unique mixture created by the mother of the bride. We added this special saying, reminding us what the night was all about.
Plan-it Vicki even got to put the finishing touches on this amazing cake made by Harvest Cafe, dressing it up with real flowers. It came out pretty well, don’t you think?
The formalities of earlier in the evening gave way to one heck of a dance party, led, of course by the newlyweds. Go, Jesse!
And don’t think the canine friends were forgotten. The bride’s grandmother made some yummy treats for guests to take home to their furry friends.
A perfect evening for a perfect couple! Here’s to a lifetime of happiness Miranda and Jesse. You’re off to a wonderful start.
Easy! Done Enjoy!
