I was lucky enough to be the event planner for a wonderful girl and neighbor I’ve known since she
was a first grader. To watch her grow up before my eyes was amazing and it was truly my honor to
help plan this special celebration.
I chose some beautiful photos of Maeve throughout the years and created little signs to place
in flower arrangements.
The colors of Maeve’s school, gold and black, were represented everywhere.
On each table was confetti to go with the graduation theme.
Various lawn games were placed throughout the yard to keep the guests occupied.
Delicious food is a must at any party and we had yummy treats catered by Max Catering.
Cheese and crackers to start…
Chips, salsa and guacamole to tie you over till dinner…
A BBQ tailgate station of sliders, tacos and salad…
And a cake fit for a graduate.
Guests were also able to help themselves throughout the party to ice cream treats provided by
a genuine Mister Softee food truck.
The day was just beautiful but slightly windy so I used twine to tie around the cocktail tables
to help keep the flowers and tablecloths from blowing away. This is a easy little trick that also
looks good.
I had large letters spelling out Maeve’s name for guests to sign and write a special wish. Later
these letters will hang in Maeve’s dorm room. Something to remind her of home and all the
people who are proud of her.
Way to go Maeve from your proud neighbor!
Easy! Done! Enjoy!
