The weather could not have been more perfect for this September Bat Mitzvah Party at the
Glastonbury Boathouse.
Not every party I do has a theme. Some just have a color scheme, a logo or a look and feel.
Sophia’s Bat Mitzvah Party was that type of party.
As guests arrived they could put a gift or envelope on a table which displayed Sophia’s chosen
color scheme of the night.
In the entrance area was a mirror with a giant purple sparkly “S” that Sophia’s friends could sign
and leave a little note.
Sophia wanted a nightclub feel so, with the help of some fantastic lounge furniture and up lighting
from Boppers Events, the room was transformed to the most perfect nightclub with everything in
a purple glow.
The logo was everywhere, on purple square vases with floating candles that were displayed on the
light up furniture…
Pillows that adorned the couches…
On vases that contained chocolate kisses wrapped in purple and silver to match the room….
Cocktail napkins…
And a Step-and-Repeat backdrop in front of which guests could get their photo taken like they
were at a red carpet event.
A great place to hang out was the deck. It had the most magnificent view and the weather was just
perfect to enjoy the beginning of Fall. Purple votive candles flickered in the beautiful night air.
Some of the larger round tables for the adult guests were dressed up with a scattering of
rhinestones and featured centerpieces made of different sized paper lanterns in various
shades of purple, silver and white.
This was a heavy duty dancing party, so luckily there were comfy socks available to kick it deep
into the night.
As guests departed they were given a sweet treat to take home.
And all of Sophie’s friends got a great bag with a pair of sweatpants to enjoy for days to come.
Mazel Tov Sophia!
Easy! Done! Enjoy!
