Alex’s bar mitzvah pArty on the sloPes

Not exactly what you’d expect in late April in New England, but this mitzvah celebration was all clear downhill runs! Welcome to our look back at Alex’s spectacular bar mitzvah pArty on the sloPes.

Entering the Hartford Golf Club it was clear from the outset that this party was going to be wild! This neon sign-in board said it all — are you ready for a lit ski party!

The decor, of course, followed suit everywhere you turned. There was the logo’d card box…

The snowy, tree-lined hallway…

The unique logo’d ice luge…

Logo'd ice sculpture

Custom pillows accenting the sleek teen lounge…

And food stations from North America to Europe to the Far East, all in a quest to find that perfect run.

Failing that, everyone would just have to settle for a tricked out LED wall, light-up stage and full dance floor wrap, expertly installed by our friends at ET Events Group. Think of the airfare we all saved!

Cocktail hour featured separate, but connected spaces, for adults and kids to get their lounge on.

The bars were on point as well, with a wood long front for the adults and theme-correct signature mocktails for the younger set.

This great venue offered both indoor and outdoor spaces, each perfect to enjoy a cocktail or to pose for a pic. Yes, this is a dog-friendly zone.

The immersive photo booth was a trip, both inside and out!

Dining tables were communal, accented by ski boot centerpieces covered in sparkly fairy lights with multi-tiered birch votives.

With everything in place it was time for the formalities to begin. Bring out our party hosts!

The mitzvah sistah!

And the man of honor!

Hora anyone?

What’s more painful for the mitzvah boy, a little body surfing…

Or being roasted by the parents?

Grandparents presided over the Hamotzi.

And the candle lighting was a family affair.

A spirited round of Coke and Pepsi took over the dance floor.

And everybody got a kick out of the very special photo montage.

A comfy parting gift served as a memento of a great time had by all!

Mazel Tov Alex and fam — you hosted one helluva party on the slopes! It’s all downhill from here!

Easy! Done! Enjoy!
