One of my favorite things in the whole world is watching movies. I try to see everything that is up
for the Academy Awards and make my present-day picks, but there is something special about the
great movies of the past and Old Hollywood. This bat mitzvah took us back to golden era of film with
the art deco look of the venue. All the littles accents I did were designed to transport guests back to
an old movie theatre.
As guests arrived they pick up their place card that were made to look like old fashioned movie
tickets.
Adults enjoyed some cocktails and hors d’oeuvres by Russell’s Creative Global Cuisine on the
upper level balcony.
The kids enjoyed appetizers, played games with the DJ and experienced a green screen photo
station on the main floor.
Each table had an old poster centerpiece of a classic movie with a logo created for the Bat Mitzvah
girl as an accent.
Guests were invited to sign a photo of the Bat Mitzvah girl who looked like a movie star. The sign in
board was made by Avon Moto Photo.
The tables were sprinkled with gold stars, film strips and clappers which enhanced the look of
the Old Hollywood movie theme.
As friends of the guest of honor left the celebration they picked up party favors that were
sweatpants with a logo that looked like the stars on the “Hollywood Walk of Fame”.
Mazel Tov Leah!
