Lindsay & Jason: A Classic and Classy Old School New England Shore Wedding

Soon-to-be bride and groom stroll the garden pre-ceremony

One look at the invitation tells you all you need to know about this wedding! From the outset, this get-together smacked of class, elegance and style. Our job was to put it all together and let the nuptials flow, unabated — and that’s just we did!

Exquisite details ruled the day, from amazing florals, fabulous draping, a rockin’ band, an outstanding caterer, to the most picturesque setting on Goshen Cove at Connecticut’s Harkness Memorial State Park, this wedding had it all! Even the weather held up long enough to get the ceremony in, as planned — was there ever a doubt!

You are cordially invited to the New England Shore Wedding of Lindsay and Jason. Enjoy your evening everyone! All photos courtesy Maggie Conley.

As with any wedding, florals are key and when Hana Floral Design is at the helm, both inside and out, you know you’re in the best hands!

Preps began bright and early, both inside and out. First, who better to help with the gorgeous wedding dress than the Mother of the Bride?

And while that was going on upstairs at the Eolia Mansion, decor was being put in place for the that night’s reception.

Down the path overlooking the cove, the Amphitheater was also getting decked out for the ceremony.

As were the spectacular gardens, home of cocktail hour.

The heated tent, lit and draped by EZ Occasions, made for a stunning backdrop for the post-ceremony reception. The nautical coaster place cards made for a warm and inviting entry into the reception tent.

An amazing wedding cake provided by A Thyme To Cook, was topped with a hand-carved replica of our bride and groom — a loving tribute from a member of the wedding party. Our great flower vendor provided some special touches as well.

The First Look ran the gamut of emotions, from pleasant surprise…

A little freshening and then it was time to get this bride to the amphitheater. Don’t forget your bouquet!

The ceremony setting couldn’t have been more glorious and, to make it even more special, the bride’s beloved aunt was the presiding officiant.
