July 4th Centerpieces and Candles 2

July-4th:Candles

I love using gel beads any chance I get. I have come up with a great way to decorate for July 4th
using different-sized mason jars, red, white (clear) and blue gel beads, candles and LED lights.
Red, white and blue candles and centerpieces are perfect for any July 4th celebration.

What you’ll need:
red, clear and blue gel beads
mason jars in various sizes
LED lights
tea lights
(optional mini flags)

Red White and Blue Supplies

Let’s get started:
Step 1: Arrange gel beads in red, white, blue order in mason jars and place either a tea light on top
or a submerged LED light.

Step 2: Place on table and enjoy!

    Hi Vicki,

I was wondering if the tea lights get hot enough that they melt the gel beads or are they fine. Also, will they last longer if you cover them when not using them and do you know how long the beads will last before shrinking or dehydrating?

I have not had a problem with the tealights melting the gel beads. If you put a lid on the gel beads (without the candle lit) they will last forever. Uncovered it takes a few days for them to shrink. I hope that helps. Vicki
